History
The company was founded by Hans-Jürgen Daum in 1975 as the engineering office IGF. The focus was initially placed on engineering, although the production company dpm was later added and the engineering company went on to become a department of dpm. The company premises were constructed in 1990, together with the 1st production hall, and the company was renamed dpm Daum + Partner Maschinenbau GmbH (dpm). Shortly thereafter, dpm began constructing automated guided vehicles (AGV) and today it can look back on experience with over 1,800 vehicles and countless major projects. Due to increasing requirements for production and logistics, the demand for efficient AGVs has also risen, making it the most important commercial branch of dpm. However, the mechanical and plant engineering division remains a core competence and an important mainstay. dpm engineers and manufactures for numerous established customers in the fields of contract manufacturing, glass engineering and mechanical engineering.
